Dorothee Bär -Germany's Federal Minister for Research,Technology and Space at the helm of The Maker Faire Hannover 2025

The Maker Faire Hannover 2025 is scheduled to take place from the 23th –24th August 2025.The event stands as a vibrant testament to Germany’s pioneering spirit and its leadership in key future-defining fields —including robotics, artificial intelligence, production and quantum technologies, microelectronics, materials science, and physics.

In accepting the role of patron, Minister Bär lauded the Maker Faire as a unique platform where ingenuity, collaboration, and the courage to shape the future converge. Her support underscores the Federal Government’s recognition of the Maker movement’s remarkable contribution: fostering openness, curiosity, and technical excellence while inspiring people of all ages to engage with innovation. 

From robotics and 3D printing to upcycling and coding, the Maker Faire will once again be a meeting point where visionary ideas meet practical creation — a celebration of creativity with the power to shape tomorrow.
