Deutscher Kongress für Laboratoriumsmedizin 2025

Under the theme “Science for Precision Medicine”, the Deutscher Kongress für Laboratoriumsmedizin 2025 gathers on 23-24 October at the Congress Center Leipzig to confront the evolving frontiers of diagnostics and laboratory medicine. Jointly organized by DGKL (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Klinische Chemie und Laboratoriumsmedizin) and DVTA (Dachverband für Technologen und Analytiker in der Medizin), the congress is designed as a platform where translational research meets clinical application. The program emphasizes how molecular diagnostics, omics-data, epigenetics, post-translational modifications, and AI-powered analytics can transform patient care — especially in rare diseases, oncology, and fields where sample material is limited. At its core, the event seeks to bridge proof-of-concept science with routine diagnostic practice, ensuring that laboratory medicine is not only precise in theory but actionable, robust, and responsive. The congress also weaves in themes of quality assurance, regulatory frameworks (such as IVDR), digital transformation, and workforce development. Participants will find workshops, symposia, and e-poster sessions spotlighting innovations in pre-analytics, molecular and digital diagnostics, and hematology-oncology with hands-on microscopy courses and interactive sessions. On the exhibition side, industry partners will showcase solutions ranging from automation and sample transport to integrated analyzer and digital reporting platforms. Beyond formal sessions, the event promotes networking, professional exchange, and the encouragement of young scientists through awards, stipends, and a job fair — reinforcing that innovation thrives only when the next generation is equipped, connected, and inspired.
